Your data: export, deletion, and privacy rights

Your rights under India's DPDP Act and GDPR — and how to exercise them.

SurveySetu complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP) and GDPR. You can exercise these rights from your account settings:

  • Right to access — download all your personal data as JSON
  • Right to erasure — anonymise your account; survey responses stay (anonymised) for research integrity, all PII is wiped
  • Right to correction — edit your profile anytime
Account deletion is blocked if you have non-zero wallet balance or in-flight withdrawals. Withdraw first, then delete.

Where to find these

Your role's profile page (Researcher Profile / Supplier Profile / Respondent Profile) has "Export my data" and "Delete my account" sections at the bottom.
