How it works

How buying responses works

  1. Publish with a price per complete

    Set your target number of completes and the cost per interview (CPI). The amount needed is reserved from your wallet, which you top up through Razorpay (UPI, card or net banking).

  2. Suppliers bid

    Approved panel suppliers see the audience, length and CPI and send a bid with their quota and price. Accept it, counter-offer or reject it.

  3. Respondents arrive through tracked links

    Each approved supplier gets a signed tracking link. Completes, screen-outs and quota-fulls are counted automatically, and you watch them in your dashboard.

  4. Review and pay only for good completes

    For 48 hours after each supplier complete you can reject it with a reason (a speeder, straight-lining, a duplicate). Rejected completes are not charged; close the survey and unspent money goes back to your wallet.

What a complete costs

You set the CPI. As a rough guide from our help centre: general consumer surveys of 5–7 minutes are about ₹40–80 per complete, specific demographics about ₹80–150, and B2B or hard-to-reach audiences ₹250+. Too low a CPI and suppliers deprioritise your survey. The platform shows the CPI, platform fee and total before you commit.

Quality controls on supplier traffic

  • One complete per device per survey; duplicates and bots are blocked
  • Hourly and daily limits on each supplier's completes; a bid pauses when it hits them
  • Speed, attention and pattern checks on every response
  • Your review window to reject completes that fail your own checks

You don't need a panel to start. Every survey comes with a WhatsApp message, QR poster and share links, so you can collect free responses from your own customers or community and add a panel later.

Common questions

Are paid responses available right now?

Not yet: paid, pay-per-complete surveys are paused for now. Tell us about your project through the partner form and we will let you know when they return. Free surveys, shared with your own audience, work today.

Who are the panel suppliers?

Businesses with their own panels or communities of adult respondents. SurveySetu approves each supplier account before it can bid, and suppliers must send real, consenting adults who match your target.

Do I pay for screen-outs?

No. You pay the agreed price only for qualified completes that you do not reject within the review window. Screen-outs and quota-fulls are not charged.

Can I get my money back?

Money in your wallet is only spent when completes arrive. Close a survey and its unspent reservation returns to your wallet; unspent funds can be withdrawn to your verified bank account. Platform fees on accepted completes are not refundable.

How does the translation work?

You write the survey in English. When a respondent picks another language, the questions and options are machine-translated into it, checked to be in that language's script, and cached. If a translation service fails, that line shows in English until it is translated. You choose which of the 12 languages to offer and which one opens first.
