Postback URL setup: how status callbacks work
Receive signed HTTP callbacks when your respondents complete, screen out, or hit quota.
Postbacks are HTTP GET (or POST) callbacks SurveySetu fires whenever one of your respondents reaches a terminal status (complete, screenout, quotafull).
Configuring your postback URL
In your supplier profile, set a postback URL with placeholders for the values you want to receive:
- {pid} — your supplierRespondentId
- {status} — complete | screenout | quotafull
- {txn} — our internal response id (use for de-duplication)
- {amount} — CPI in paise (only for completes)
Signing & retries
- Every postback includes an HMAC-SHA256 signature in the X-Postback-Signature header
- We retry up to 8 times with exponential backoff on 5xx / 408 / 429
- 4xx (except 408/429) are treated as permanent and not retried
